Easy Summer Fruit Salad.

If you’re anything like me, the summer holidays are basically a non-stop celebration of sunshine, BBQs, and allll the fresh fruit. And when it comes to July recipes that are fun, refreshing, and downright adorable, nothing beats a patriotic fruit salad loaded with red, white, and blue fruits!

This easy 4th of July fruit salad is one of my go-to’s for literally every summer get-together - Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day... you name it. It’s sweet, it’s juicy, it’s pretty enough to be a centerpiece, and the best part, it comes together in 10 minutes flat!

Red, White & Blue Fruit Salad.

Why do I love this patriotic fruit salad? First off, there's absolutely no cooking involved, just a quick rinse, slice, and mix, and you're good to go.

It's fun way to bring color to your summer table and it packed full or fresh berries and fruit. You can serve it as a healthy side or just as a refreshing snack on a hot summer day.

And if you really want to take it over the top, try it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a big ol’ dollop of whipped cream (seriously, you won't regret it). It’s the kind of dish that fits right in at summer picnics and backyard BBQs.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pink Lady apple – sliced and cut into stars

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, quartered

  • 1 lb fresh blueberries

  • Optional: Lemon Juice

  • Star Cookie Cutters

That’s it! You can toss in some red grapes or watermelon or any other favorite fruit if you want to bulk it up. I’m all about using what’s in season!

How to Make an Easy Summer Fruit Salad.

1. Prep the Strawberries: Rinse those fresh strawberries and quarter them. Add to a big mixing bowl.

2. Add the Blueberries: Wash your fresh blueberries and gently toss to mix. This gives us that perfect pop of blue!

3. Make Apple Stars: Wash and slice your pink lady apple and use a tiny star-shaped cookie cutter to make the stars. My kid LOVES helping with this part!

4. Toss it All Together: Gently mix so nothing gets squished.

Add Lemon Juice (Optional but Recommended!): A quick squeeze of lemon juice keeps the apples from browning and gives a nice little tang!

5. Chill & Serve: Once your fruit salad is all mixed up, pop it into an airtight container and store it in the fridge until ready to serve.

So there you have it. Your new go-to dish for every red, white, and blue summer celebration!

Whether you're whipping it up for a backyard BBQ, a beach picnic, or just hanging out with family on a hot summer day, this delicious salad is always a crowd-pleaser.

I hope you love it as much as we do!
